Paste Special enables the option to paste as Text or Image and is often used when
large files such as Excel files that include graphics and text. The Paste Special function
can be found in the ManagePro Text Editor available in long text fields such as the Requirements and Issues fields
in the ManagePro Details window for Goals and Comments and Description fields Progress Updates to name a few
To Use the Paste Special Feature, follow the steps below:
Copy the graphic and text from the file of your choice
If you want to then paste it for example in a Progress Update, double-click the progress Update record
and Double-click the Comments Field
The ManagePro Text Editor will be displayed
NOTE: When Clicking the Edit menu, the clipboard is queried to see if it has both text and image data, if so
the Paste Special option is enabled, if not, this option will be not available.
Click the Paste Special option
You can paste the graphic and text Text which maintains the format but is fairly large or
Paste as Image, by doing so, you then have the option to scale the image which also maintains the format
of graphics and text.
For example, if you have a monthly update which serves as a dashboard and it also includes
charts of any kind, Copy and Paste the graphic and text from the Excel file then paste it as an image.
Note: The default is 50% to help with ballooning of the database.
