Assigning People to Business Groups as Members

In ManagePro, business groups can be created and people can then be added as members to those groups but people cannot be members of multiple business groups. Assigning people to Business Groups as members simply means that you are establishing the user as a member of the Business Group to which he/she is part of in your organization.

Although people can only be members of one business group many of us have a need to cross-function with other departments or groups for which we are not members of. ManagePro achieves cross function visibility by allowing the MPro Administrator to assign people to a selection of one or more business groups that have been defined in the database. This provides visibility to not only records created by members of the same business group but also records created by members of groups for which they are not a member. This is called Assigning People Visibility to One or More Business Groups which is addressed in the next topic.  For now, let’s learn how to assign People to Business Groups as Members by following the steps below.

Navigate to the People and Meeting  Tab

Right-click person’s name in the list and select Business Group dropdown

Select the business group for which he/she is a member

Click OK
