Adding Goals vs. Action Steps vs. Tasks

Goals are configured using a tree or outline format, where branches, or indentations reflect dependencies.

1.

New records are added by selecting Add from the right-click menus associated with any one of the  view workspaces

or, click Add from the Ribbon Control

 

2.

New records are identified as either a 1) Header, 2)Goal or project, an 3) Action Plan step, or a 4) Task, each with their own icon

 

3.

Best Practice: Build a goal plan by entering the objective, then at the next indent level enter the primary Action Plan steps, then Tasks entered one level of indentation in from Action Plan steps

 

4.

Trees or outlines of rows/records are collapsed or expanded by clicking on the – or + symbol .

 

 

5. Use the "Promote" and "Demote"  buttons to move the record up or down the tree.

Adding Goals

 

1.

Right-click on any one of the Views

 

 

 

2.

 

Click the Add icon on the Ribbon Control clip0069

The Add  Record window will be displayed

4.

Select the record type

Complete the pertinent information in the Goal Details window

6.

Save Changes
