Import, CSV Predecessor Mapping

ManagePro automatically determines if the .CSV contains project standard dependencies and imports them. Only supports finish to Start (FS)  links, others are skipped, and Mpro also supports multiple predecessors.

 

In the example below, you can see the Excel Spreadsheet has predecessors. There is no need to map a column called Predecessors during the import process. MPro automatically imports the links as shown in the screenshot on the right below.

In ManagePro, under the program button>customized fields, we created a unique ID field using the user number 10 field formatted as a text field.

we then configured this field on to the main workspace view using the view configuration right-click menu option

Right-click in the Main Workspace>Import CSV

In the Import ManagePro Items from CSV file dialog window clip0113x

we mapped the following Mpro fields:

ManagePro title field to Name field in .csv file

ManagePro Start field to Start field in .csv file

ManagePro Due field to Finish Field in .csv file

ManagePro User num 10 to ID field in .csv file

and selected User num 10 for the Unique ID field

Clicked to Import. Once the import was complete, navigate to the Gantt chart to see your linked dependencies. You may need to use the Gantt chart Toolbar calendar to navigate to the start date clip0114xor use the Gantt zoom control (drag your mouse to the left or right between the navigation arrows to get to the correct date range.
