ManagePro ä stores notes as HTML, since the Report System does not support printing of HTML content we must cheat and first generate an Image of the HTML and print this in the report, therefore in order to display notes we must include a Picture Box control for them.

1.

First, make the Details band slightly higher and Drag & Drop a Picture Box from the Tool Box,

2.

stretch it out to the right-margin,

3.

in this example we have allowed an indent on the left-side.

Set the height of the Picture Box to a minimum value, this is important because we don’t want the Detail band to increase the line spacing for records which don’t have notes, in the next step we setup the Picture Box so it will grow to accommodate the notes content if any for each record.

Set the properties for the new Picture Box:

First, set the sizing mode to AutoSize, this will ensure the control will grow and shrink depending on the actual notes content.

NOTE: Once a Picture Box is set to AutoSize you can no longer size it with the mouse, if you need to adjust it again, set sizing mode to Normal temporarily.

Then, another non-obvious property, set the Tag property to the value “notes”, this will tell ManagePro that this control is to be used for the notes content.
